Fatal Myles Standish State Forest shooting 'not random act of violence,' DA says

A 25-year-old New Bedford man was shot and killed at Myles Standish State Forest in Plymouth on Wednesday, and it was not believed to be a random act of violence, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz’s office. Reports of a shooting first went to Massachusetts State Police and Plymouth police at around 2:35 p.m., Cruz’s office said in a Twitter thread.
