GOP Will Accuse Mayorkas Of ‘Dereliction of Duty’ In Push For Impeachment

The House Homeland Security Committee will hold a hearing on Wednesday to examine Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas’ "dereliction of duty."

Mayorkas has been under the spotlight after Title 42—the pandemic-era policy at the southern border—expired and as calls for his impeachment ramp up from House Republicans, namely Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Last Wednesday, Greene introduced a resolution, which directs the Judiciary Committee "to investigate whether sufficient grounds exist for the impeachment" of Mayorkas.
