The 2022 campaign season is under way

The filing period for those wishing to seek office in West Virginia’s primary election later this year is just about up. By midnight Saturday, those hoping to get elected should have their paperwork completed and submitted (there may be a little leeway for those who decided on a last-minute mailing of their application.

That means within the next few days, we should have a complete picture of those who wish to represent us in a variety of offices appearing on the ballot in May.
