Ten Democratic primary candidates faced off tonight in the first night of the first 2020 presidential debate. The Washington Post tracked the amount of time each candidate spoke.
Sen. Cory Booker (N.J.) walked away with the most airtime, while former congressman Beto O’Rourke was on his heels. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) — the highest-polling candidate in tonight’s debate — clocked in third with just over nine minutes. Unlike Booker and O’Rourke, among others, Warren refrained from interrupting fellow candidates.
