The GOP Beat Challenges in Wisconsin, Florida and Michigan, and Picked Up Three New States. Republicans won key gubernatorial races Tuesday as they beat back challenges in Wisconsin, Florida and Michigan, while picking up three new states, including the president’s home state of Illinois.
