6-Foot Waves Expected In Manhattan Beach

The Beach Hazards Statement is in effect from 6 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday evening. According to officials, residents can expect breaking waves of three to six feet. The National Weather Service warned residents against swimming or surfing in the dangerous conditions. "Remain out of the water due to hazardous swimming conditions, or stay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in such conditions, stay off the rocks," the NWS said in a statement.
