Thunderstorms with pea-sized hail to hit Jackson County Saturday

A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 3:22 a.m. for strong thunderstorms until 3:45 a.m. for Jackson County. The storms could bring wind gusts of up to 40 mph and pea-sized hail (0.25 inches). "At 3:22 a.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm 9 miles northwest of Stevenson, or 12 miles west of Bridgeport, moving northeast at 20 mph," says the weather service.
