Senate bill takes flight to fund South Dakota airports

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Airports across South Dakota can apply for additional funding thanks to the South Dakota legislature. Now that Senate Bill 144 into law, South Dakota Airports can get additional funding. “A lot of airports across the state have capital needs, significant capital projects,” Sioux Falls Airport Executive Director Dan Letellier said. The Sioux Falls Regional Airport Executive Director, Dan Letellier, said construction costs have risen in the past 25 years, making a gap in airports ability to take on projects.
