Iowa's construction employment has hit the highest level recorded in data going back more than 30 years. Released this week, the Iowa Workforce Development monthly report says the construction sector employed 85,200 workers in January, up 600 from December and an increase of 2,700 from January 2023. The rise has been even more dramatic ― 3,200 workers ― since October, the report says.
