Gun rights group takes challenge against Illinois ban on semiautomatic rifles to Supreme Court

A gun rights group has asked the Supreme Court to take up its challenge to Illinois’ semiautomatic rifle ban, which defines them as any firearm that can carry more than 10 rounds. The Second Amendment Foundation says the state’s law, passed in the wake of the high court’s 2022 decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v.
