Justice Department prosecutors asked the Supreme Court Monday to decide if former President Donald Trump can get out of the federal indictment for trying to overturn the 2020 election, asking the court to decide “promptly” whether Trump is immune from the charges against him in order to keep Trump’s planned March 2024 trial on schedule.
