Man reported missing from Carnival cruise ship shortly after New Orleans departure

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching the Gulf of Mexico for a 28-year-old man who was reported missing from a Carnival cruise ship that recently departed New Orleans.
The man, a passenger on Carnival Glory, which departed from a New Orleans port on Sunday and is headed for Jamaica, was reported missing from the ship Monday afternoon, according to the Coast Guard.
Family members identified the missing man on social media as Houma resident Tyler Barnett.
