Judge Uses Eye-Opening Impeachment Analogy for Michael Cohen’s Testimony That Trump Spoke in Code

A day after the New York attorney general wrapped up presenting their case in chief, former President Donald Trump’s lead attorney tried on Thursday to dismiss the state's lawsuit by seeking to discredit Michael Cohen.

In late October, Engoron rejected two of Trump’s motions for a directed verdict following Cohen’s testimony, emphasizing the latter motion was “absolutely” denied.

"There’s enough evidence in this case to fill this courtroom,” Engoron declared on Oct. 25. At the time, the judge dismissed the defense’s suggestion that Cohen was a “key” witness.
