Republicans will have a chance to argue against New Mexico’s redistricting process in the state’s Supreme Court, as a hearing was set for the GOP’s appeal of a district court decision that upheld the redrawn maps. The GOP will argue its case in a hearing scheduled for Nov. 20, according to an order filed Tuesday. New Mexico’s congressional district map was redrawn in 2021 to account for population changes, but Republicans in the legislature accused Democrats who control both the House and Senate of gerrymandering in developing the new map....
