Democratic Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear and his GOP opponent Daniel Cameron battled over abortion and other issues during an hourlong debate on Tuesday night. Abortion was a hot topic as the discussion of a Kentucky law passed in 2019 banning the procedure almost entirely ensued, with Beshear challenging Cameron on whether or not he would make exceptions in cases of rape or incest. “My opponent’s position would give a rapist more rights than their victim,” Beshear said taking aim at Cameron. “It is wrong.
