Biden Campaign Blasts McCarthy’s Impeachment Inquiry, Brand Him Trump’s ‘Super-Surrogate’

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., is acting as a "super-surrogate" for former President Donald Trump with his announcement of an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, according to the president's 2024 campaign.
Ammar Moussa, a spokesperson for the Biden-Harris 2024 campaign, responded to McCarthy's announcement in a Tuesday statement, calling corruption accusations against the president "baseless."
"As Donald Trump ramped up his demands for a baseless impeachment inquiry, Kevin McCarthy cemented his role as the Trump campaign’s super-surrogate by turning the House of Representatives into an arm of his presidential campaign," the spokesperson wrote.
