El Paso's Star on Mountain goes dark due to windstorm that struck Borderland
Add the Star on the Mountain to the damage done by a windstorm Sunday that struck the Borderland.
On Monday, the El Paso Chamber announced, “Due to damage sustained by the high winds, the Star on the Mountain will go dark until further notice. We will let you know as soon as the Star is operational.”
El Paso Electric still was working to restore power to some customers in the Borderland after strong gusts downed power lines, cracked poles and caused other damage in the region.
