Should Fani Willis Be Removed from Trump's Georgia Case?

Are the accusations of impropriety against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis legitimate concerns of misconduct or a distraction from the indictments against former President Donald Trump?

For Context: Fani Willis, the District Attorney in Fulton County, Georgia, where Trump and 18 others are facing charges in an election interference case, was accused earlier this month of engaging in an “ongoing, personal relationship” with special prosecutor Nathan Wade prior to him being hired onto the case.

“Legally Irrelevant”: A writer in Salon (Left bias) argued the allegations against Willis are “another attempt to distract the public” from the charges brought against Trump and his co-defendants in Georgia. Deeming the accusations “embarrassing and salacious but legally irrelevant,” the writer refuted calls for Willis to be disqualified from the case, concluding, “Under MAGA ethos, a man can rape a woman, and brag about grabbing female genitalia without permission, and still occupy the highest office in the nation, but a woman in a consensual affair with outside counsel is disqualified from service as a county prosecutor.”
