With more freezing rain in the forecast, schools around the Portland metro area told families they will either close for a fourth straight day on Friday or open late — but reserve the right to reverse course if the weather worsens. East Multnomah County districts that are closest to the Columbia River Gorge’s freezing rain and high winds announced preemptive closures, including Gresham-Barlow, Centennial, David Douglas and Parkrose.
