5 police officers in Tyre Nichols case hit with federal charges

The five cops accused of killing Tyre Nichols were indicted Tuesday in federal court. Tadarrius Bean, Desmond Mills, Demetrius Haley, Emmitt Martin and Justin Smith were all charged with deprivation of rights under color of law — the go-to civil rights violation for federal prosecutors in cases of police violence.
