Over 50,000 Las Vegas Hotel Workers to Vote on Strike Authorization

The union representing 53,000 Las Vegas Strip and Downtown resort employees have called for a strike vote by the end of the month should ongoing negotiations flatline. Hospitality workers including housekeepers, bartenders and other non-gaming staff represented by the Culinary and Bartenders Unions will cast their ballots on Sept. 26; a majority could authorize a potential strike, although they won't be locked into a strike if talks stall.
