‘Armed and dangerous’ capital murder suspect now in custody in Montgomery

A suspect sought in the shooting death of a man in Montgomery last week is now in custody. Central Alabama Crime Stoppers on Tuesday said they were searching for 30-year-old Isaiah Gipson in the March 2 slaying of 26-year-old Fredrikis Heard. Gipson was taken into custody Wednesday. Montgomery police and the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force had carried out the search and described Gipson as armed and dangerous.
