New Medical/Retail Building Gets Southington's OK

The Southington Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-0 Tuesday, Jan. 3, in favor of a site plan pitched by Richard E. Frazier Sr. of Plantsville. He is building a 7,000-square-foot medical/retail building on 1175 Meriden Waterbury Turnpike (Route 322) on land zoned for commercial/business uses. Frazier filed an application with the town Dec. 12 to build the structure, which would go up within 500 feet of the Cheshire town line off Route 322.
