McConnell shoots down Manchin-created election compromise

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell dismissed the possibility of bipartisan agreement regarding a recent election reform compromise plan from Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin.

The West Virginia senator, who has come out against the omnibus election reform bill known as the For the People Act, recently outlined various related changes he supports, but McConnell threw cold water on the chances for compromise on Thursday.
