Additionally, multiple outlets reported Thursday on a book by one of the Times report’s authors, Maggie Haberman. In the book, Haberman writes that during Trump’s presidency, White House staff occasionally found wads of printed paper clogging a toilet and believed Trump had flushed them. Trump denied the toilet-flushing story in a Thursday statement.
As of Thursday afternoon, AllSides could find no coverage from right-rated outlets on the Times report; coverage of the story was featured prominently in major left-rated outlets. Coverage of Haberman’s book was also prominent in left and center-rated outlets, and several right-rated outlets reported on Trump's denial of the toilet-flushing story.

White House telephone logs obtained by the House probe of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot show an hourslong gap in calls on the day of the attack at a time when investigators know then-President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers spoke on the phone, NBC News reported Thursday.
Those records show no calls made by Trump, or to him, for several hours after his speech outside the White House, which began shortly before a violent mob of his supporters stormed into the Capitol, a source familiar with the records told NBC.

The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol has discovered gaps in official White House telephone logs from the day of the riot, finding few records of calls by President Donald J. Trump from critical hours when investigators know that he was making them.
Investigators have not uncovered evidence that any official records were tampered with or deleted, and it is well known that Mr. Trump used his personal cellphone, and those of his aides, routinely to talk with aides, congressional allies and outside confidants.
