Official: 'Mindboggling' no one killed in tornadoes that destroyed 117 homes in Douglas County

OMAHA — The director of the Douglas County Emergency Management Agency provided an update on Tuesday of the homes destroyed and damaged in Friday's storms, which produced several high-powered tornados. "One went through Elkhorn, then north of that to Bennington and continued on. Another tornado that affected us on the eastern side at Eppley Airfield damaged 32 aircraft," Paul Johnson, emergency management agency director, told the Douglas County Board.
