GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A Grand Rapids nonprofit is building low-income housing units on three vacant properties on the city’s southeast side under a $2.4 million project expected to break ground this summer. Well House, a local nonprofit that provides low-cost housing to people experiencing homelessness, received a $150,000 grant Wednesday, March 27, from the city’s Brownfield Redevelopment Authority to build three new multi-family buildings on the vacant properties, creating a total of eight rental units with 18 bedrooms.
