AL Attorney General describes first ever nitrogen hypoxia execution as “textbook,” believes other states to follow suit

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - We’re hearing from state leaders following Alabama’s first execution using nitrogen hypoxia. They say it could set a new precedent for not only Alabama’s death row inmates, but for others across the country. While many have protested Thursday’s execution, Attorney General Steve Marshall is defending the method, and looking to the future.
