Body found in historic Bellingham building after fire

Crews found a body Tuesday in the ruins of a historic Bellingham building that was destroyed by a fire. One person, an employee of a business inside the Fairhaven Terminal Building on Harris Avenue, has been unaccounted for since the building burned on Dec. 16, according to a city of Bellingham news release. Bellingham Fire Department crews began dismantling and searching the structure on Dec. 23, after enough debris was removed to safely enter.
