Israeli officials had viewed Hamas’ Oct. 7 plan for a terrorist attack for over a year, per a report from the New York Times.
Military and intelligence officials dismissed the plan as “aspirational,” the outlet said, and thought it would be too difficult for Hamas to carry out.
The document reviewed by the Israeli military was approximately 40 pages, nicknamed the “Jericho Wall.”
It outlined the specifics of Hamas’ invasion that killed 1,200 people, the deadliest day in Israel’s history.
