House Democrats flaunted their unity Friday, panning Rep. Jim Jordan, the Republicans’ newest nominee for speaker, while indulging in a bit of schadenfreude over their rival party's dysfunction.
Government “hasn’t worked since January of this past year,” Rep. Jimmy Gomez, D-Calif., told The Messenger, alluding to the time House Republicans officially took control of the chamber after the 2022 midterm elections.
