LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford announced Tuesday that his office, in conjunction with a coalition of private attorneys, has filed lawsuits against five major social media platforms. The civil suits against TikTok, Snapchat, and three Meta-owned platforms; Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, allege the algorithms used deliberately “addict young minds and prey on teenagers’ well-understood vulnerabilities.” It claims that’s led to problematic internet usage and caused young Nevadans mental and physical harm. “My commitment to protecting consumers, particularly those that are as vulnerable as our youth,...
