Girl, 12, throws acid on 11-year-old girl at Detroit park, prosecutors say

DETROIT, Michigan — A 12-year-old girl is facing criminal charges after prosecutors say she threw acid on an 11-year-old girl at a city park. A news release from Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy says the 12-year-old has been charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm and felonious assault. The girl appeared in juvenile court Monday and was ordered held on a $10,000 bond. She is expected to appear in court again today. Prosecutors say the attack occurred on July 9.
