A man was detained by police early Wednesday morning near Brett M. Kavanaugh’s Maryland home after making threats against the Supreme Court justice, according to federal and local officials.
The man, described as being from California and in his mid-20s, was taken into custody by police after telling officers he wanted to kill the justice, according to people familiar with the investigation. He apparently did not make it onto Kavanaugh’s property in Montgomery County but was stopped on a nearby street and was found to be carrying at least one weapon...
An armed man was arrested early Wednesday morning near the Maryland home of Justice Brett Kavanaugh. As first reported by The Washington Post and confirmed by a Supreme Court spokesperson, the man made threats against the 57-year-old Kavanaugh, who has served on the court since 2018.
It was not immediately clear what type of weapon the man was carrying. He was taken to a Montgomery County police station.

An armed man was arrested near the Maryland home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh Wednesday morning, law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News.
The suspect was carrying a gun and a knife when arrested and had made violent threats against Kavanaugh, sources said.
The man’s name is being withheld at this time, but sources say he is in his 20s and from California and was picked up on a nearby street. He did not get to the Kavanaugh home.
