U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is rolling out a new dress code for its deportation officers, requiring agents conducting enforcement operations to wear standardized ICE apparel and clearly display agency identification, according to a Washington Examiner exclusive published Wednesday.
Under the new policy, deportation officers will be expected to wear ICE-branded polo shirts and tactical pants instead of casual clothing such as hoodies and T-shirts during field operations.
Officers also will be required to visibly display their ICE badges, and many enforcement actions will require the use of ballistic vests bearing ICE markings.
