ICE to spend $2M on robot dogs for immigration crackdown

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is set to spend up to $2 million on four-legged robots as part of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.

ICE plans to use Boston Dynamics' "Spot" robot dogs, which are designed to enter potentially dangerous or suspicious locations too risky for an ICE officer to go.

The robots have already been used by two of the nation's largest police departments, and the Secret Service was seen using them at President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in 2024.
