Epstein Accuser Virginia Giuffre to Posthumously Release New Memoir

Summary from the AllSides News Team

A posthumous memoir by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre, titled Nobody's Girl, will be published on October 21, fulfilling her “heartfelt wish” for the book to be released.

The Details: American publisher Alfred A. Knopf, a subsidiary of Penguin Random House, announced the book’s release on Sunday. It said Giuffre had completed the manuscript with co-author Amy Wallace. It described the book as providing “intimate, disturbing, and heartbreaking new details” about her time with Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and others, including Prince Andrew. A Knopf spokesperson said “no allegations of abuse against Trump” were made in the book.

Prince Andrew: Giuffre had accused Prince Andrew of sexual assault, alleging she was trafficked to him as a teenager by Epstein and Maxwell. Prince Andrew denied the allegations and settled out of court with her in 2022. The book will be the first time Giuffre has spoken publicly about him since the settlement.

For Context: Giuffre took her own life in April, after she survived a “serious” car accident in March. In July, President Donald Trump told reporters that Epstein “stole” Giuffre and other young female staffers from their jobs at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

How The Media Covered It: The story was covered widely by mainstream British outlets but sparsely by American ones. As of Monday morning, AllSides has not found coverage from any American outlets from the center or right, though British outlets The Telegraph (Lean Right bias), Daily Mail (Right), and BBC (Center) covered the story.
