Will Hurd Drops Out of 2024 Presidential Race, Endorses Nikki Haley

Former Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX) dropped out of the 2024 Republican presidential primary race on Tuesday night and endorsed former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. 

The Details: Hurd hadn't qualified for either of the first two Republican primary debates. Haley is polling in fourth place for the nomination, behind former President Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, according to FiveThirtyEight (Center bias).

While I appreciate all the time and energy our supporters have given, it is important to recognize the realities of the political landscape and the need to consolidate our party around one person to defeat both Donald Trump and President Biden," Hurd said in a statement posted on X.
