Will Donald Trump Debate His Republican Primary Opponents?

Former president and 2024 candidate Donald Trump has repeatedly indicated he may not participate in the upcoming Republican primary debates. Is this posturing from the front-runner or a genuine statement?

“Does It Make Sense?” The Washington Examiner (Lean Right bias) reported on Trump’s speech at an Alabama GOP fundraising dinner last week. Trump said, “Nobody even has a chance” to beat him in the Republican primary. Trump also questioned why he would participate in a primary debate given his large lead in the polls, stating, “does it really make a lot of sense? Does it really? I love to debate, but sometimes, you don't want to be a fool.”
