Who Could Replace Biden on the Democratic Ticket?

Calls from within the Democratic Party for a potential replacement for President Joe Biden are growing following his less-than-ideal performance in last week’s first presidential debate against former President Donald Trump.
A change at the top of the ticket, while not impossible, would not be as straightforward as it may seem. A switch would likely require Biden to step aside, something his campaign has made clear will not happen.
A switch is also not without risks. The November election is less than 150 days away, and the Democratic National Convention in August precedes that.
