Some clarity is required right at the start here. Okay, yes - members of the media calling Trump a “Nazi” is nothing new. That accusation has been in play for eight years now, emerging almost instantly the day he decided he was no longer a Democrat and choosing to run for the GOP nomination in 2015. We know the media hurls the Nazi/Fascist/Hitler declarations at Republicans more freely than rice flung after a wedding. So, what exactly is new on this accusatory front?

Over the past few weeks it has been a new flood of journos and pundits who have been braying loudly that Trump is speaking like Hitler and will deliver unrealized atrocities upon this nation if he manages to be reelected. This new fussilade derives from his speech given on Veterens Day, when he delivered invective against forces within this country. In it, Trump used a word - one word - that all of the media has attached to, running to the cameras and laptops to wail about his Hitlerian desires.

Trump referred to groups within America as “vermin”. This was also a word Hitler was known to have used towards the Jewish people. The press wants to pretend that over the course of a century no one else has ever invoked that word, and it is reserved in solitary fashion for Goebels-like hate speeches. The hysteria seen in the media reactions to this have been nothing short of hilarious.
