JPMorgan Chase & Co. Chief Executive Jamie Dimon has spoken privately to Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley about the economy, according to a source familiar with the bank JPM, 0.90%.
Dimon often has conversations with U.S. presidents, other heads of state, regulators and members of Congress about the state of commerce and public policy, the source said.
Axios initially reported the conversations between Dimon and Haley. The report said Dimon thinks the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and South Carolina governor could potentially bring the country together.
