President Donald Trump extended the 90-day trade truce between the United States and China for another 90 days, as he and Chinese President Xi Jinping hope to prevent an all-out trade war.
The new deadline will expire on Nov. 9 at 12:01 a.m.
“I have just signed an Executive Order that will extend the Tariff Suspension on China for another 90 days. All other elements of the Agreement will remain the same. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump wrote on Truth Social late Monday evening. The message came just hours before the deadline was set to expire after midnight on Tuesday.
