Update 8/27/25 at 2:36pm ET: Authorities reportedly identified the suspect as Robin M. Westman, who was formerly known as Robert Paul Westman. Outlets on the right highlighted Westman's supposed gender transition more prominently than outlets on the left.  

A shooter killed two children and injured at least 17 people at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, MN, on Wednesday. 

The Details: The shooting, which occurred during a Catholic mass at the school, left multiple children in critical condition. The suspect reportedly took his own life, along with the two others, using a semi-automatic weapon. Agents from both the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were brought onto the scene, but there is no longer an “active threat to the community,” according to city officials.
