What a "Mixed" Rating Means
Sources with an AllSides Media Bias Rating of Mixed aggregate news or content from sources with biases on the left, center, and right to transparently provide multiple perspectives. This rating is given to sources that curate journalistic articles. This does not mean the source never misses or omits a perspective, or that it perfectly shows all possible perspectives.

AllSides uses its media bias ratings, which are powered by a balance of input from experts and ordinary people across the political spectrum, to curate balanced news from the left, center, and right. Every day, AllSides publishes 33.3% articles from news sources rated Left or Lean Left, 33.3% from sources rated Center, and 33.3% from sources rated Lean Right or Right.

AllSides was rated Center (-0.42) in the August/September Blind Bias Survey, confirming AllSides’ Media Bias Rating. A total of 458 people across the political spectrum rated the bias of AllSides.

AllSides Maintains Near-Perfect News Aggregation Balance: 2025 Analysis
A 2025 homepage analysis of AllSides found AllSides displays an almost perfectly even split of left/center/right news sources, making us the internet’s most balanced news aggregator.
In our Headline Roundups published between January and June 2025, AllSides displayed 36% sources on the left, 30% in the center, and 34% on the right.
We’ve also analyzed the bias of news aggregators like Yahoo! News, Google News, RealClearPolitics, Drudge Report, and White House Wire. While a few provide balance, most of them are heavily biased. AllSides is the most balanced of all of them.
In the first half of 2025, we curated 11% from outlets we rate Left, 25% Lean Left, 30% Center, 18% Lean Right, and 16% Right.
AllSides Curates Balanced News from the Left, Center, Right: 2023 Analysis
A 2023 homepage analysis of AllSides found 33% of articles were aggregated from outlets we rate Lean Left or Left, 33% from the center, and 34% from the right — showing a near-perfect mix of balanced sources.
AllSides has found the majority of news aggregators analyzed Lean Left, including Google News, Apple News, and Bing News.

AllSides was rated Center (0.43) by respondents across the political spectrum in the Aug. 2023 Blind Bias Survey.
AllSides was rated Center on average across all bias groups - Democrats, Independents, and Republicans — as well as among those who rate their own bias as Left, Lean Left, Center, Lean Right, or Right. The result means AllSides itself meets the criteria for AllSides' Balance Certification™ program for Blind Bias Survey results. A total of 735 respondents rated AllSides.
AllSides rates itself as having a Mixed bias, a designation we give to outlets that specifically curate diverse perspectives.
