Pedestrian dies after hit and run in New Orleans' Florida area, police say
A man hit by a vehicle in the Florida area of New Orleans died Thursday evening, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
The man was walking at France and Alvar Streets when a vehicle hit him at 8:25 p.m.
He was pronounced dead there. The driver abandoned the scene, police say.
