The annual underwear-themed party held at Rice University for more than 50 years has been scrapped by officials at the prestigious Houston private school. Last year's "Night of Decadence" party, a university-funded gathering held in the fall at Weiss Residential College, was ended early after more than two dozen students received medical treatment for alcohol intoxication and seven were transported to hospitals.
