8 rain gauges on Kauai record over 10 inches of rain in 12 hours

A band of moisture associated with a storm several hundred miles off the coast of Kauai dropped remarkable amounts of rain over the Hawaiian island Thursday night into Friday morning, causing flooding and school and road closures.
