Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, took refuge at New York City police station in the middle of a "chaotic" pursuit by photographers, the couple and law enforcement sources said Wednesday.
The pair, together with Meghanβs mother, were followed by photographers after leaving a charity event in Midtown Manhattan on Tuesday night.
βThis relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers,β a spokesperson for the couple said in a statement.
