NewsBusters is a news media source with an AllSides Media Bias Rating™ of Right.

Newsbusters is transparent about its bias, stating on its About page, "Welcome to NewsBusters, Exposing and Combating Liberal Media Bias 24/7, a project of the Media Research Center (MRC), America’s leading media watchdog in documenting, exposing and neutralizing liberal media bias."

What a "Right" Rating Means

Sources with an AllSides Media Bias Rating of Right display media bias in ways that strongly align with conservative, traditional, or right-wing thought and/or policy agendas. A Right bias is the most conservative rating on the political spectrum.

Newsbusters Rated Right in Dec. 2022 Independent Review

A Dec. 2022 Independent Review of Newsbusters returned a Right rating.

Newsbusters showed strong story choice and slant that aligned with the right. In one article, Newsbusters accused media networks ABC, NBC and CBS of ignoring the Twitter Files development on the Hunter Biden laptop scandal; another article stated that a children's book that "promoted transgenderism" "should be" under scrutiny; another stated that major networks were ignoring that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was under investigation for potential ethics violations. Another article was critical of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which threatened to file a complaint against a Memphis hospital for pausing transgender sex change surgeries. Newsbusters wrote, "the ACLU long ago lost interest in the stuff that’s actually in the Bill of Rights and is working to secure other important liberties: like the right to have doctors mutilate your private parts, whether they want to or not."
